Rowan Co. marriage book A, p. 52, records marriage of George Grigery and Effie Foster, on 12 Jan 1893, at Robert Foster's, by Morris B. Ham, witnesses J. W. Foster, J. J. Grigery.

(George and Effie were first cousins on the Foster side - George’s mother and Effie’s father were both children of Eli Foster, and also second cousins on the Jones side - George’s father and Effie’s mother were both grandchildren of James William Jones & Lucinda Brown.)

1900 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Pearce precinct, enumerated 8 June, lists on p. 6A as family #95:
Grigory, George, 27, b. Apr 1873; Effie, wife, 25, b. May 1875, married 7 years, mother of 4 children, 3 living; Willas, son, 4, b. Mar 1896; Elija, son, 2, b. Mar 1898; Minnie, sister, 17, b. May 1883; Alfrey, H<illegible> S., boarder, 11, b. Feb 1889. All born Ky/Ky/Ky.
The Alfrey boy’s given name looks something like “Huse”. He is probably the H. Stacy Alfrey who was the son of Harry Alfrey and Lizzie Gregory. The birthdates do not match exactly, but I don’t trust the birthdates in the 1900 census of Rowan Co anyway.3

1910 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Pearcy precinct, enumerated 20 April, lists on p. 3A as family #30/33:
Gregory, George, 38, married 17 years; Effie, wife, 37, married 17 years, 6 children, 5 living; Willis, son, 14; Lige, son, 12; Isie, dau, 10; Corbett, son, 7; Julius, son, 7/12. All born Ky Ky Ky.

1920 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Pearcy precinct, enumerated Jan 19, lists on p. 5A as family #88/95:
Gregory, George, 48, farmer; Effie, 47, wife; Osa, dau, 19; Corbit, son, 17; Arnold, son, 10; Viola, dau, 8; Carl, son, 5. All born Ky Ky Ky. (The next household is George’s widowed mother.)
