Notes for Samuel Savel Hardin
I have not seen any record that shows him with both the names Samuel and Savel. All three of his marriage records have his name as Samuel. But the 1850 and 1860 censuses record his name as Savel, and the death certificate of his daughter Nancy (for which the informant was L. P. Gearhart) lists Nancy’s father as “Save Hardin”.
